My boyfriend was craving Pho so we Yelped the closest place nearby and this one popped up.
As we entered we were warmly greeted; the inside was pretty spacious with enough seatings and lots of sun!
He ordered his chicken Pho with extra broccoli. He said it was okay and there wasn't enough broccoli and the chicken was so-so.
I ordered the Papaya Salad (with tofu) which is something I haven't ordered in a longgg time. I usually get it from Thai restaurants and this is my first time ordering it from a Vietnamese restaurant - the taste is different! I usually stick to my favorite vegetarian Vermicelli or vegan Pho. I was SO impressed by the flavor I ate everything except the tofu. I loved how sweet and tangy it was at the same time. I didn't know finish the tofu because they were just too bland. I think they would be better replaced by egg-rolls or spring rolls or at least fried in sauce. I would love to go back here and try the Papaya Salad again. -

My partner and I have been going here for about a year almost on a weekly basis. I know, I know, that's a lot of eating out, but we love it here!!! We are a vegan and vegetarian couple and find it to be the best vietnamese in the neighborhood for our lifestyle. There are many reasons why we love it here:
1. The food is delicious!!! It never disappoints. Tam is very nice and very helpful when it comes to ordering vegan. My favorite is the vegan soup pho with tofu.
2. It is an inclusive place for all dietary needs. Tam is the main staff member we order from and she tries her best to make it an inclusive place for all to eat. There even is vegan chicken.
3. Very friendly and very good service. We will even be greeted when we are just walking by.
4. When we are sick with the cold or flu, our go to is to order the vegetable pho with tofu to go. It always makes us feel better!!
This is one of my favorites places in town!! Best not to skip this one. -

Was a rainy day in Seattle and I was in the mood for soup so I looked up the closest spot for pho and was on my way.
Glad I found Tangerine Tree because my pho was delicious! The broth was SUPER flavorful and really yummy. The noodles were good and the well done beef was very, very good.
My wife had the egg roll vermicelli dish and thought it was just ok, which is why four not five stars. -

This is a spot that is tucked away in the corner of Cap Hill, figuratively and literally, tucked away in the corner above QFC off Harvard Ave and Union/Pike.
So a buddy and I came here for lunch, not too busy when we arrived, definitely a mom & pop place, friendly grandma type lady greeted us and sat us down in front of the TV so we can watch the World Cup.
We took a few minutes to go over the menu. I decided to get the "Combo Vermicelli Bun Bowl" that comes with grilled pork, chicken, shrimp and an egg roll. I usually get this kind of dish as my gateway dish when trying out a place for the first time. Glad I did as it was very good. All the grilled proteins were delicious, nicely grilled, flavorful and good amount of the meats. Fresh veg was delicious in the bowl, add that fish sauce, mix it up and you are good to go! It's a pretty good sized bowl so you will be pretty full.
Grandma lady was real nice, may have a slight language barrier when ordering, just use the universal language of pointing to what you want on the menu which worked for us. She pretty much runs everything from taking orders, bringing out the food, cashing you out etc. There's a grandpa guy that will assist as well. Prices are a bit on the high side for a little mom & pop shop though.
Overall, glad to have checked this place out, the food was good, I would eat here again. -

Had the tangerine tree rice. Very bland. Didn't like that the meats were scattered by the side and dry. No real flavor
